A private individual is seeking an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the maintenance and well-being of her 2-acre property in Oakland, California. The estate includes a pool, hot tub, and a water feature with a generator. The Estate Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive care of the property, including assistance with pets, vehicle maintenance scheduling, and proactive management of property-related tasks.
Responsibilities:

Property Maintenance:
- Regularly inspect the property for issues such as leaks, structural concerns, and general maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the pool, hot tub, and water feature generator.

Pet Care:
- Provide attentive care for the homeowner's pets (1 dog, 1 cat).
- Arrange for pet-related services, such as grooming and veterinary appointments.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the pets on the property.

Vehicle Management:
- Schedule and oversee maintenance for the homeowner's vehicles.
- Keep track of vehicle-related documentation, including insurance and registration.
- Coordinate with automotive service providers for repairs and inspections.

Initiative and Proactivity:
- Take the initiative to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach in caring for the home and anticipating the homeowner's needs.
- Display a calm and caring demeanor in all interactions, providing reassurance to the homeowner and efficiently handling any unexpected situations.
Schedule
- Be available on-site full time (36 hours/week), with an additional 4 hours reserved for emergency situations during the week or weekend.
- Monday through Friday, 7:30AM start time.
This position is only for long term candidates, 5 years or more.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Estate Manager or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of property management, including experience with pool and garden maintenance.
- Familiarity with pet care and coordination of pet-related services.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Calm and caring demeanor, with the ability to handle emergency situations with composure.
- Must be tech savvy and know how to set up home office machines. Most communication will be done through email.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience. $90,000++
For the first year, the only benefits will be: healthcare stipend, 1 hour sick pay per 30 hours work. Candidates are not required to work National Holiday days and can take off without pay. Candidates can take up to 2 weeks unpaid the first year with advance notice, preferably 1 month or more.
