About the Position: A private family based in Washington, DC, is seeking a dedicated and professional housekeeper to join their household. They are looking for someone who can maintain the home’s cleanliness and organization while respecting the family's space and routines.

The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is an experienced housekeeper who can read the room and maintain a low profile. Given that both parents work from home, it is crucial that the candidate avoids cleaning activities that could disrupt their work or family time, such as vacuuming near offices during calls or cleaning the kitchen during meal times.

What Works Best for the Family:

• Experience and Thoroughness: A seasoned housekeeper who leaves no area untouched.
• Pet Care: Comfortable with walking the two dogs and feeding the three cats.
• Healthy Cooking: Ideally, someone who can prepare healthy dinners following the family's dietary preferences—grilled chicken, salmon, salads, vegetables, and occasional red meat, with minimal use of seasoning, oils, and sauces. However, outstanding housekeeping skills are the priority; non-cooks are encouraged to apply (CLIENT WILL CONSIDER CANDIDATES WHO ARE NOT OPEN TO COOKING!!)..
• Pet Sitting: Willing to look after the pets when the family travels.

Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping: Comprehensive cleaning and organization of the home.
• Cooking: Preparing healthy dinners (CLIENT WILL CONSIDER CANDIDATES WHO ARE NOT OPEN TO COOKING!!).
• Laundry: Handling the family’s laundry.
• Errands: Running errands such as dry cleaning and post office trips.
• Driving: Required for errands and other household needs.

Requirements:

• Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
• Language: Fluent in English
• Experience: Several years of relevant experience
• References: At least 2 references required
• Background Check: Must pass stringent background checks and drug testing
• Personality Traits: Quiet, discreet, warm, good-natured, and conscientious

Compensation:

• Salary: $80,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience and skills, client may consider a higher salary for the right candidate. 
• Living Accommodations: Live-out position
