Warm and welcoming family in Darien, CT is looking for a hybrid  Nanny/Housekeeper who is Experienced, Energetic, and Kind to become an integral part of their bustling household. Must love dogs! 

As the ideal candidate, you'll play a vital role in caring for their delightful 3.5-year-old and adorable 7-month-old boys. Your mornings will involve assisting with their infant while mom gets their older ready for school or you may help him get ready while mom is with the infant. You'll also lend a hand with light cooking and meal prep tailored to their little ones' tastes.

Mom is a stay-at-home mom who needs childcare and housekeeping support so each day may vary slightly. Some days you may be home watching the infant while mom is out running errands and dropping their toddler off at school, or you may assist with errands and drop off while she is home with the baby. Their toddler attends school 4 times per week, 2 days from 9:00 - 11:45 am and 2 days from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm, so during that time you will help with caring for their infant and/or support daily housekeeping tasks including making sure the kitchen and living areas are clean and tidy, emptying/loading the dishwasher, organizational projects (i.e. toys, pantry, etc.), and handling laundry including any ironing, folding and putting clothes, etc. making sure the home runs smoothly and looks it's best. This is a hybrid role encompassing both childcare and household duties. 

When the kids are home and in your care, the parents are looking for someone who is fully engaged with the boys! Most importantly, this family looking for someone who adores children and shares their values regarding limited screen time. Your days will be filled with engaging activities, imaginative play, and outdoor adventures. They value creativity and initiative, so feel free to bring your wonderful childcare ideas to the table! The best match is someone who will play with their boys at their level and engage them in developmental and creative games and activities! 

Love for dogs is a must! Occasionally, you may need to let their 2 very friendly dogs out for some play time and, if you are open to it, take them on walks, if needed.

If you're a proactive, caring individual who adores children, aligns with their parenting philosophy and loves dogs, you might be the perfect fit. Flexibility is key, as occasional late evenings may be required to support Mom when Dad, who travels a lot for work, is away. As much advance notice as possible will be given. They would also love someone to travel with them on domestic family trips as needed.

Position Compensation

• Salary: $30-35/hour, DOE, Negotiable for the right candidate
