Job Description: Housekeeper/House Manager - Upper East Side, NYC
About Us
We are a professional couple living in the Upper East Side, New York City, seeking an experienced, reliable, and positive individual to join our household team. With three grown children (one of whom visits often from San Francisco) and two lovable Shishon dogs, we value a warm, harmonious environment and are looking for someone to help maintain it.
Key Responsibilities
- Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of our home, including caring for fine furniture and artwork.
- Household Management: Oversee the smooth operation and upkeep of the household.
- Grocery Shopping & Organization: Ensure the home is well-stocked and neatly arranged.
- Light Cooking/Meal Prep: Prepare simple meals or assist with meal preparation as needed.
- Running Errands: Handle occasional out-of-home tasks.
- Dog Care: Provide afternoon and pre-evening walks for our two Shishon dogs. They are already walked in the mornings and require only short walks later in the day.
Additional Opportunities
- Travel: Willingness to accompany us to our other residences is a plus.
- Pet Assistance: Extra care for our dogs may include feeding or grooming as necessary.
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, with some flexibility.
- Compensation: Competitive pay, commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: Three weeks of paid vacation annually.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years working in a large home or luxury apartment.
- Language: Must speak and understand English fluently.
- Disposition: A sunny, positive attitude is essential.

- Comfortable handling fine art and furnishings.
- Discreet and trustworthy, as you will be an integral part of our lives.
