Job Title: Part-Time Housekeeper

Location: Old Westbury, NY

Job Type: Part-Time (30-36 hours per week)

Schedule: Flexible hours, ideally from 2:00-8:00 PM daily (M-F); Opportunity to potentially work Sundays for more hours.

Compensation: $35-40+/hour, DOE - The family believes in compensating talent accordingly and is open to discussing rates based on experience and qualifications.

About Us: We are a family of four residing in a spacious home in Old Westbury. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time housekeeper to help maintain the cleanliness and organization of our 5,500-square-foot home and provide occasional assistance with picking up our kids (2 girls, ages 6 years and 3 years old) at school and taking them to their after-school activities. We are looking for someone reliable, respectful, proactive, hard-working, and trustworthy, who is a great communicator and willing to help as requested. We need someone Monday-Friday and are open to adding hours on the weekend for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

• General house cleaning (deep cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, etc.)
• Dishwashing (including loading/unloading the dishwasher)
• Laundry (washing, folding, and organizing - mostly the children's laundry and mom's laundry, dad does his own) - Changing linens and making the children's beds.
• Occasional Dog walking and pet care, if needed
• School pick-ups and drop-offs (driving required)

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in housekeeping, especially in large homes
• Childcare: Minimal childcare is needed but must love interacting with children
• Pet Care: Comfortable with pet care, if needed.
• Driving: Possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
• Languages: Must be able to communicate well in English; Family speaks Mandarin so Mandarin is also a plus, but not required. 
• References: Minimum of 2 References
• Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire
• Personality traits that work best with this family: Friendly, reliable, humble, hard-working, respectful, detail-oriented, a great communicator, willing and able to follow instructions, and kind.

What Works Best for Our Family: We are a family-oriented household where both parents work full-time and we like our family time when we are home. We need extra hands to help with housekeeping and safely driving our kids to and from school and aftercare activities. The ideal candidate could be someone seeking a second job or someone flexible to work part-time.
