Job Title: Secondary Preschool Teacher

Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, to be coordinated with the Director)

Salary: $20 - $22+ per hour (Flexibility for the right candidate/experience level.)

Overview:

Private Business in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Preschool Teacher to join its small private preschool, designed exclusively for the children of its employees. The preschool serves up to 10 children, from birth to kindergarten, and focuses on providing a high-quality educational experience in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching:

    • The Secondary Preschool Teacher will assist in developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the developmental and educational needs of children from birth to kindergarten.
    • They will collaborate with the Director/Lead Teacher to plan and execute daily lessons, activities, and routines.
    • The teacher will provide individual attention to children to support their unique learning needs and promote their cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
    • They will foster a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning.
  • Supportive Duties:

    • The teacher will assist with classroom organization, including cleaning up after activities and maintaining an orderly learning space.
    • They will support the Director/Lead Teacher in conducting assessments and tracking children's progress.
    • The teacher will participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the preschool program.
    • They will engage in daily maintenance tasks such as picking up garbage and ensuring the classroom is clean and well-maintained.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • A strong understanding of early childhood development and educational best practices is essential.
  • The teacher should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with the Director/Lead Teacher and other staff members is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is necessary.
