Job Opportunity: Housekeeper/Family Assistant (Driving Required)

We’re a busy, happy family of five looking for an organized, proactive Housekeeper/Family Assistant to join our team. With our active lifestyle, multiple kids involved in sports, and daily family routines, we need someone who is flexible, hardworking, and ready to jump in where needed. We value someone who blends into our home while keeping things running smoothly.

The Role:
We need someone to help with daily household tasks, afternoon driving, and meal prep. You’ll typically come in after breakfast (occasionally earlier, if requested) to handle the following:

• Housekeeping: Light daily tasks like tidying up, making beds, emptying the dishwasher, general upkeep of the kitchen and living areas, and handling family laundry.
• Meal Prep & Cooking: Prepare family meals, understanding that some kids may need to "eat on the fly" due to their busy sports schedules so things that can be reheated or taken on the go are best. Parents will usually eat when the kids eat even if only one or two of them are around.
• Driving: Pick up kids from school and transport them to/from sports practices, games, and other activities.
• Errands & Shopping: Run occasional errands and grocery shopping a couple of times a week.
• Flexibility: While your day usually starts midday, we ask for flexibility as schedules shift. We’ll be flexible with you as well.

Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for someone smart, savvy, and proactive—someone who knows what needs to be done before we even ask. You should be well-trained, a strong communicator, and able to handle things with minimal direction. Flexibility is key, and we need someone who isn’t rigid in their role but can adapt to the family’s changing needs. The family already has a housekeeper who handles deep cleaning twice a week, so this role focuses more on day-to-day tidiness and upkeep.

• Flexible with your hours and able to pitch in as needed

Schedule:

• Midday start time (flexible, with occasional earlier starts), ideally M-F, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM or Noon - 8:00 PM
• Afternoon driving and dinner assistance
• Approx. 40 hours per week (some weeks may vary), willing to guarantee hours

Position Responsibilities

• Childcare, Driving Only: 03 Children, Ages 9 years (G), 13 years (B), and 16 years (B)
• Housekeeping: Light Housekeeping Required
• Cooking: Help Start/Prep for Dinner, Plain Cooking Required, Family Meals
• Laundry: Family Laundry
• Errands: 2/3 times a week Grocery Shopping
• Driving: Required
• Travel: No Travel Required

Position Requirements

• Work Hours: Ideally, M-F 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM, family can be flexible with the exact hours and would like the candidate to be flexible as well
• Languages: English - Must communicate well in English
• Experience: 03 Years of Experience
• References: Minimum of 2 References
• Background: Background check upon a contingent offer of hire
• Personality Traits: Reliable, flexible, proactive, responsible, kind, friendly, savvy, smart, well-trained, happy, sophisticated, and able to communicate well.

Position Compensation

• Salary: $35/hour, DOE, Negotiable for the right candidate
• Living Accommodations: Live Out
• Vacation: Family travels a lot (5-6 weeks/year) so paid time off is generous
