Flexible Family Assistant/Housekeeper needed in Westfield, NJ

Job Title: Family Assistant/Housekeeper
Location: Westfield, NJ

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week
• Preferred hours: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Flexibility required for earlier (7am) or later (8pm) hours based on family needs specifically school drop off and helping with the dog while one or both of the parents are traveling. 

Compensation:

• $30-$40 per hour, based on experience

• 2 weeks paid time off
• 5 paid sick days
• Paid major holidays

Job Description:
A busy family in Westfield, NJ, is seeking a motivated and hardworking Family Assistant/Housekeeper. The ideal candidate is proactive, flexible, and capable of adapting to the evolving needs of the household including last minute changes. While the core schedule is 25 hours per week with preferred hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, flexibility for earlier or later hours is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full housekeeping and deep cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, organized home
• Organize and declutter spaces, including closets, pantries, and the refrigerator
• Handle family laundry duties
• Grocery shopping and light errand running
• Care for the family’s small dog, including pet care and occasional overnight care when the family travels
• Assist with cleaning and organizing the fridge
• Provide transportation for the family’s 16-year-old daughter as needed (car provided)
• Offer general household assistance, adapting to the family’s needs

Qualifications:

• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle 
• Previous experience as a housekeeper or family assistant required
• Ability to take initiative and be flexible
• Background check and drug testing required upon offer

Additional Information:

• The family is seeking someone who can start immediately
• This role is part-time with a guaranteed 25 hours per week.
