Job Title: Part-time Household Manager/Personal Assistant

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Job Description: A warm, older couple is seeking a Part-time Household Manager/Personal Assistant with a strong bookkeeping background, ideally familiar with Quicken, to assist with both office and household tasks. This role is perfect for someone organized, flexible, and ready to “go with the flow.”

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bookkeeping, preparing checks, and overseeing bill payments
  • Help organize office files and maintain general office organization
  • Manage household projects, including scheduling and overseeing vendors (e.g., for pool renovations)
  • Assist with various tasks, such as organizing storage or helping with downsizing projects
  • Provide light dog care for two friendly, easy-going dogs when needed
  • Manage vendor relations and maintenance people as necessary
  • Occasionally run errands as needed (i.e. to the market, post office, etc.)

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have household management experience
  • Be knowledgeable in bookkeeping (experience with Quicken is a plus)
  • Be computer literate and tech-savvy
  • Be able to manage vendors, maintenance personnel, and household projects
  • Be flexible, professional, friendly, and able to blend seamlessly with the couple’s routine
  • Have a kind, honest, and easy-going nature
  • Love dogs and be comfortable providing light pet care when needed

Schedule:

  • Flexible, with approximately 30 hours/week
  • Open to 5 shorter days or fewer longer days, depending on the candidate’s preference

Future Opportunities: The couple is considering downsizing their home, which may involve helping with moving and overseeing new projects. There is potential for this role to grow into a full-time position as the couple's needs evolve.

Compensation:

  • Competitive, commensurate with experience.

About the Family

Adults: 2
Dogs: 2 Cavalier King Charles - very good-natured and friendly
Current Staff: 2 housekeepers who come 3 times per week
Home SQFT: Approx. 8,000 Sq. Ft.

Position Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping: No Housekeeping
  • Cooking: No Cooking
  • Laundry: No Laundry
  • Errands: Run to the market and other errands as needed
  • Driving: Required
  • Travel: Possibly

Position Requirements

  • Work Hours: Hours are Monday-Friday and the couple is flexible for the right candidate - The schedule would ideally include 5 days/week for fewer hours/day (i.e. M-F, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm) but the couple is open to fewer days/week with longer hours depending on the needs of the candidate and what works best. 
  • Languages: Must be able to communicate well in English
  • Experience: 05 Years of Experience
  • References: Minimum of 2 References
  • Background: Background check upon a contingent offer of hire
  • Personality Traits: Organized, honest, smart, computer literate and tech-savvy, flexible, easy-going, professional, kind demeanor, helpful, "go with the flow" mentality, reliable, and friendly.  

Position Compensation

  • Salary: $35-$40/hour, DOE, Negotiable for the right candidate
  • Living Accommodations: Live Out
  • Vacation: 2 weeks PTO, increases to 3 weeks after 3 years
  • Additional Benefits: Paid Holidays
