Our family in Manhattan is seeking an experienced, professional, and nurturing full-time nanny to care for our two children, ages 5 and 8. This is a long-term position that requires exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a discreet, respectful manner.

Childcare:

  • Pick up kids from school and transport them to activities.
  • Ensure timely dinner and bath routines.
  • Provide occasional overnight care when parents travel.

Household Management:

  • Light housekeeping of bedrooms: make beds, tidy bathrooms, fill water bottles, and humidifiers.
  • Light housekeeping of kitchen and main areas: Swiffer/mop floors, light dusting, empty dishwasher.
  • Assist with unpacking groceries and prepping meals for the children.
  • Organize closets and maintain a tidy, well-kept home.

Other Duties:

  • Walk the family dog (they also have a dog walker that comes and helps)
  • Run errands as needed.
  • Perform laundry for the children.

Preferred Skills:

  • Spanish-speaking (not mandatory but a plus, as the children are on a Spanish track).
  • Ability to drive (nanny car provided).
  • Basic cooking skills and comfort with simple meal prep.
  • Ability to swim (preferred for summer months).

What Works Best for Our Family:

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Discrete: Able to exist peacefully in our home without intruding on our routines.
  • Tidy and Organized: Maintains an immaculate environment and has strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive: Capable of taking care of errands, managing time effectively, and being a problem-solver.
  • Professional and Experienced: A career nanny with a history of long-term positions, seeking a stable, long-term role.
  • Caring and Smart: Compassionate with the children, but also resourceful and capable of independent decision-making.
  • Tech-Free: Zero phone use while with the children is non-negotiable.

If you’re a professional nanny looking to join a warm and respectful family while showcasing your organizational and childcare expertise, we’d love to hear from you!
