Detail-oriented Family Assistant/Housekeeper

Location: Hixson, TN

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (25 hours per week)

Compensation: $25–$30 per hour

The family includes two parents and a 12-year-old daughter. They are looking for someone who can provide consistent household support so they can focus on spending time together.

Position Overview:
The Family Assistant/Housekeeper will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in managing the household. Responsibilities include detailed cleaning, simple meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry, and other household tasks. This part-time position is designed to help the family feel organized and supported in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping:

  • Perform detailed and thorough cleaning throughout the home.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all living spaces, bathrooms, bedrooms, and the kitchen.
  • Assist with household organization projects as needed.

• Laundry:

  • Wash, fold, and put away family laundry.
  • Maintain linens and ensure closets and drawers are organized.

• Cooking:

  • Prepare simple, family-friendly meals for dinner.
  • Cook meals in advance so the family can enjoy them together.

• Grocery Shopping:

  • Shop for groceries 2-3 times per week based on the family’s needs.
  • Restock household essentials and pantry items.

• Household Assistance:

  • Manage cleaning supplies and ensure the home is stocked with necessities.
  • Run light household errands as required.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is professional, quiet, and comfortable working behind the scenes. They should have experience working in households with children. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive, with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in housekeeping, family assistance, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and cleaning skills with attention to detail.
• A kind and patient demeanor, especially around children.
• Reliable transportation for errands and grocery shopping.
• Comfortable maintaining a 3,500 sq. ft. home.
