Position: Household Manager
Location: Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO
Schedule: 30–40 hours per week (flexible)
Compensation: Starting at $30/hr - Competitive, based on experience

Overview:

A busy household on Ward Parkway is seeking an organized and proactive Household Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of their 100-year-old home. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of managing household tasks, vendors, and events to ensure a well-maintained and smoothly running home.

Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping: Perform deep cleaning once per week 
• Household Maintenance & Repairs: Schedule and oversee vendors for home maintenance and renovations (e.g., backyard renovation, broken appliances).
• Inventory & Supplies: Manage household supplies, including ordering essentials (detergents, toiletries, pantry items, etc.).
• Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep: Ensure a fully stocked kitchen; assist with meal planning and light prep as needed.
• Event Planning & Coordination: Plan and coordinate six dinner parties per year, including catering and menu planning.
• Holiday Decorating: Assist with seasonal decorating.
• Car Maintenance: Arrange servicing and upkeep for household vehicles.
• General Household Support: Provide overall household support, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Household Manager, Estate Manager, or in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to manage vendors and oversee home maintenance.
• Comfort with meal planning and coordinating events.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Must be dog-friendly (non-shedding dog in residence).
• Flexibility with responsibilities based on household needs.

Additional Notes:

The household owner is open to adjusting the housekeeping requirement if the right candidate prefers a management-only role. The Household Manager’s primary focus is to provide seamless support, ensuring that the home is well-maintained, stocked, and running efficiently.
