Job Description:
A distinguished family in Atherton, CA is seeking a meticulous and experienced full-time housekeeper to maintain their luxury residence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end housekeeping, organization, and attention to detail. This role requires a high standard of cleanliness, discretion, and professionalism in a formal household environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Home Cleaning and Organization:

  • Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of all areas, including living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.

  • Ensure all rooms remain tidy, aesthetically pleasing, and meet high cleanliness standards.

  • Conduct regular deep cleaning of luxury surfaces and delicate materials.

  • Follow specific cleaning requirements and precautions for designated areas.

Professional Laundry & Ironing:

  • Wash, dry, iron, and fold household clothing and linens.

  • Handle delicate fabrics and luxury garments with care to maintain quality and longevity.

  • Organize wardrobes and ensure proper garment care.

Kitchen and Dining Support:

  • Maintain a spotless and organized kitchen, including countertops, stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other appliances.

  • Wash, dry, and properly store tableware and cookware.

  • Assist with basic food preparation or pre-meal setup as needed (cooking skills are a plus).

Environmental Inspection & Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine inspections of indoor and outdoor areas, reporting any issues.

  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist professionals with repairs.

  • Provide light outdoor cleaning of patios, terraces, and courtyards.

Inventory Management & Replenishment:

  • Regularly monitor and restock household cleaning supplies, paper products, and other essentials.

  • Maintain organized storage areas and report low or damaged inventory.

Supplier/Visitor Assistance:

  • Prepare and oversee vendor visits, ensuring property safety and security.

  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

Safety Awareness & Reporting:

  • Identify and report safety hazards, including fire risks, leaks, and electrical issues.

  • Maintain strict household privacy and confidentiality.

  • Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations or contacting necessary personnel.

Driving and Transportation Services (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Provide safe and punctual driving services for the family as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and well-kept vehicle.

  • Ensure adherence to traffic laws and safety regulations.

Equipment & Tools Custody:

  • Operate and maintain cleaning tools and household appliances.

  • Report damages or malfunctions and assist with repairs when necessary.

Team Collaboration and Additional Support:

  • Maintain clear communication with the House Manager and other staff.

  • Be flexible with scheduling, including weekend, evening, or holiday shifts.

  • Provide additional domestic support as requested.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in luxury home housekeeping or high-end hospitality.

  • Expertise in handling delicate fabrics and luxury garments.

  • Physical stamina and mobility to perform daily deep cleaning.

  • Flexibility to work weekends and late shifts (up to 8:30 PM).

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.

  • Annual flu vaccination required.

  • Reliable transportation to commute to Menlo Park.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record (preferred for driving duties).

  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings, including physical exams and drug testing.

  • Cooking skills are a plus and will be favorably considered.

  • Ability to adapt to a formal, structured household environment.
