Position: Part-Time Household Manager/Family Assistant
Hours: Monday - Friday 25-30 hours per week (flexible schedule; requires a 7:00 AM start through Fall, with flexibility thereafter). Additional hours may be considered based on mutual agreement and evolving family needs.

The Household Manager will play a key role in maintaining an organized and efficient household. This role requires a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual who can seamlessly integrate into family life and operate independently with limited oversight. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable with children, and pet-friendly. This is a long-term position with opportunities to grow with the client's family over time.

Morning assistance (7:00 AM) getting children ready for school (temporary until Fall)
General tidiness and cleanliness across living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen
Laundry management (washing, drying, folding, and putting away)
Proactive inventory tracking and restocking of household supplies
Weekly grocery shopping based on detailed lists (accommodating gluten-free and onion-free dietary needs)
Maintaining an organized pantry, refrigerator, and food inventory
Occasional meal preparation (primarily dinners and sometimes breakfast) as needed
Running errands (groceries, prescriptions, household supplies) as needed
Scheduling and managing home maintenance appointments (HVAC, landscaping, repairs)
Managing relationships and schedules with household contractors and vendors
Coordinating babysitters for weekends (temporary until the au pair arrives)
Assisting with scheduling and attending medical appointments for children (as needed)
Providing occasional childcare support if the nanny or au pair is unavailable
Assisting with travel logistics, including packing/unpacking and coordination
Organizing family events, special occasions, and weekend activities
Managing seasonal decorating and storage organization
Handling gift purchasing and coordination for birthdays, holidays, and special events
Light care for the family cat (feeding, litter maintenance)
Future dog care (feeding, walking, vet appointments, grooming, and supply management)
Systematic filing and maintenance of household documents
Updating household documentation, including pantry inventory, grocery lists, contacts, and schedules
The family will be hiring an au pair in the Fall. At that time:
Regular childcare duties will shift to the au pair.
Morning support (7:00 AM) will no longer be required.
The Household Manager will assist in managing and coordinating with the au pair.
