Private family looking hire a Full-Time or Part-Time House Manager in Southern Pines, North Carolina,

Work Hours: 7:30 am -5:30 pm M-F (1 hour unpaid lunch or or half a day Friday) or very flexible with hours if candidate is seeking Part-Time hours 

We are seeking a warm, adaptable, and highly organized House Manager to support a busy household in a hybrid role that blends nanny support, light-medium housekeeping, and household management. The ideal candidate is proactive, discreet, and resourceful—someone who can anticipate needs, and take initiative. A typical day will include staying in close communication with the Principal, managing daily household tasks like laundry (including cloth diapers), tidying common areas and children’s spaces, assisting with baby care at times, running errands, prepping meals, organizing supplies, and supporting appointments and transitions throughout the day. The role also involves weekly responsibilities such as grocery shopping, toy rotation, car upkeep, and preparing for special school days or events. Occasional needs may include packing for travel, handling returns, or coordinating with the cleaning crew and vendors.

This position works best for someone who thrives in a structured but dynamic environment, is great with children (especially babies), and can gracefully switch between caregiving, organizing, and home management. Being discreet, reliable, and detail-oriented is essential, as is the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while staying steps ahead of the family's needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Option for one hour unpaid lunch or half a day on Friday. The hourly rate is $23–$30 DOE.

Position Compensation
