Position: Butler/Handyman (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Location: Manhattan & The Hamptons, NY
Schedule: Flexible – Full-time or Part-time depending on candidate's availability

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Butler/Handyman to maintain and support two private residences located in Manhattan and the Hamptons. This hands-on role combines property maintenance, seasonal upkeep, and household support duties. The ideal candidate will have strong general handyman skills, excellent organizational habits, and the discretion expected in a private home environment.
Replace lightbulbs and inspect lighting systems throughout both properties
Perform monthly pest control/extermination
Inspect all sinks for leaks and water damage
Clean dishwasher strainers and bathroom drain traps
Maintain spa room cleanliness and equipment
Clean gutters and exterior drains
Provide occasional driving services (e.g., airport runs, transporting items between homes)
Wash and maintain cleanliness of front entryways and sidewalks
Inspect for wall damage or peeling paint in high-traffic areas
Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns
Replace AC filters and inspect units (March–September)
Clean drip pans and air handler drains (Spring)
Clean and vacuum refrigerator compressor (December)
Replace refrigerator and ice maker water filters (April, July)
Clean dryer vents (February)
Clean kitchen hood and exhaust (February, October)
Seal bathroom and kitchen stone surfaces (January, February)
Tighten and check door handles and cabinetry hardware
Winter (Dec–Feb):
Salt walkways and remove snow as needed
Monitor for falling ice and clear snow from skylights (March)
Inspect exposed plumbing and downspouts for freezing/blockages
Spring (Mar–May):
Power wash sidewalks, patios, terraces, and outdoor furniture
Inspect roof, wood exteriors, and foundation for water penetration
Turn on outdoor water lines and irrigation systems
Clean BBQ grill
Inspect and clean AC systems and caulking
Summer (Jun–Aug):
Maintain landscaping, including tree wells and flowers
Organize and clean patios, terraces, and garbage areas
Check AC systems, appliance hoses, and ventilation
Fall (Sep–Nov):
Top off circulator pump oil
Replace smoke and CO detector batteries
Clean and inspect heating systems, ducts, and chimneys
Turn off and blow out irrigation systems
Rake and remove leaves from roof and backyard
Assist with city inspections and filings (backflow, sprinkler, boiler)
Inspect bathroom grout and tilework (January, August)
Monitor rodent activity and foundation openings (Monthly from Feb–Nov)
Check furniture floor protectors and clean roof debris (Jan, Apr, Nov)
Maintain backyard and trash area cleanliness and organization
Proven experience in general maintenance, home care, or facilities management
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift, climb ladders, and handle basic handyman tools
Strong communication and reporting skills
Discretion and professionalism in private home settings
Must be reliable, proactive, and capable of managing seasonal and recurring tasks independently
