Full-Time Nanny (Live-In or Live-Out) – Fairmount, Philadelphia
Start Date: July 2025 (exact move-in date TBD)
A warm, professional family relocating to the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced, dependable, and loving nanny to care for their two young children: a 21-month-old boy and a newborn baby girl. The position is full-time and offers flexibility for either live-in or live-out arrangements. A baby nurse will be in place through September, so the role will gradually transition to full infant care when the baby is around 5 months old.
Both parents are doctors with demanding and often unpredictable schedules, so they are looking for someone flexible, reliable, and willing to stay overnight on occasion, even if live-out. For the first few months, if live-in housing is not available in the home, the family is willing to rent a nearby apartment for the nanny.
Provide nurturing, attentive care for both children, especially the toddler and eventually the infant
Support developmental milestones through play, reading, and engaging activities
Maintain consistent routines for sleeping, feeding, and daily structure
Bottle prep, feeding, and sleep support for the infant (starting around 5 months)
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
Handle all child-related housekeeping: children's laundry, cleaning up after meals, tidying toys and play areas, keeping the nursery organized
Collaborate with the parents and follow their parenting style and guidance
Maintain a safe and loving environment for the children
Occasionally assist with family-related tasks, while maintaining child-centered priorities
Full-time, hours TBD; flexibility required
Occasional overnights and extended hours, particularly if live-out
3+ years of professional experience caring for both infants and toddlers
High energy and genuine love for working with children
Infant experience is essential; baby care will become the main focus starting around September
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Proactive, communicative, and capable of working independently
Flexible and able to adapt to evolving family needs and schedules
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass background and reference checks
A baby nurse will be supporting the family through September
A housekeeper will be hired; nanny is only responsible for cleaning up after herself and the children
If not live-in, housing may be provided temporarily nearby until a room becomes available
