Full-Time Nanny / Private Educator
Location: Atherton, CA (Live-Out, Housing Provided Nearby)

Schedule: ~60 hours/week, 5 days/week (5-6 days while traveling, 6 day typically isn't a full day)
Travel Required: ~60% (domestic & international)
A warm & thoughtful family in Atherton is seeking an experienced and deeply dedicated Nanny/Private Educator to support their 18-month-old’s development- they’re looking for someone who can create magical, play-based learning moments while providing calm, confident, and consistent care. This live-out role (with nearby housing provided) requires extreme flexibility and works alongside a hands-on mom and a devoted, fully staffed household team in a collaborative, child-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enriching, developmentally appropriate activities
- Provide high-level, full-charge care in partnership with the mother (father also works from home)
- Travel frequently with the family, including international trips & summers away (approx. 60% travel required)
- Manage packing and travel prep for the child; plan activities for travel days
- Oversee the child’s laundry, wardrobe organization, and seasonal transitions
- Collaborate seamlessly with the household team to maintain consistency and communication
- Bring a proactive, can-do attitude and offer support throughout the household as needed, time permitting.
- Foster a calm, structured, and joyful environment rooted in kindness and flexibility
- Confidently supervise the child in water environments (must be able to swim)
Ideal Candidate:
- Norland-trained, or holds a degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field (required)
- Experienced in similar travel-heavy, flexible roles with UHNW families
- Passionate about early learning and creating engaging, imaginative experiences
- Flexible and discreet, with excellent judgment and adaptability
- Experienced in staffed, high-profile households
- Team-oriented, with a genuine love for children
- Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and frequent travel
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid passport required
Compensation & Benefits: This W2 position offers an all-in annual salary of $180,000 to $225,000, inclusive of overtime, and is tailored to reflect the experience and expertise the family is seeking. In addition to a generous salary, the role includes comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, relocation assistance, and private housing nearby.
