A private family in Manhattan is seeking a fluent Mandarin-speaking nanny to care for their 2.5-year-old daughter. This is a full-time, live-out role starting in August, with guaranteed hours, a respectful work environment, and a long-term opportunity for a dedicated professional. The position is ideal for a college-educated nanny who is passionate about early childhood development, speaks Mandarin fluently, and is confident working independently in a mindful, screen-free household.
August 11 – September 10: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Starting Mid-September: ~10:30 AM – 7:30 PM (may vary slightly)
Days when school is closed: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Early morning shifts (~8:00 AM) 1–2 days/week if mom is in office
Guaranteed full-time hours with some flexibility
Speak exclusively Mandarin with the child
School pickup and attendance to extracurriculars (park, classes, museums, etc.)
Prepare healthy, organic meals (lunch and dinner) with vegetables, protein & carbs — no fried food or oils
Support with diaper/pull-up changes, hygiene routines, and nap time
Plan developmentally appropriate activities that support early learning (literacy, numeracy)
Encourage emotional regulation using gentle, positive language
Perform child-related light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, tidying, etc.)
Fluent in Mandarin; English proficiency for daily navigation/communication
College degree required (education/child development preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience working with toddlers
Knowledge of toddler milestones and early education
Strong communication and work ethic
Comfortable with non-traditional family structures (single-parent home)
Must value healthy eating, cleanliness, and screen-free caregiving
$28/hour (paid in cash)
