Job Title: Temporary Nanny

Location: Raleigh, NC

Compensation: $30–$35/hour (approximately $300–$360/day)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, roughly 10-hour days (possibility to have additional working days if wanted/needed)

Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: August 1st, 2025

Live-Out Position

Overview:

A warm and dynamic family of five will be spending the summer in Raleigh, NC, staying with extended family, and is seeking a temporary Nanny/Family Assistant to support their three active children (ages 7, 5, and 1.5). This role runs now through August 1st and is ideal for someone energetic, organized, and collaborative.

The environment will be busy and lively, with extended family around and another nanny on-site who will be caring for an additional four children (the cousins). Comfort and professionalism in a bustling, multi-child household and working cooperatively alongside other adults is essential.

The mother is hands-on, and you will work alongside her to keep the children engaged and the day running smoothly, balancing childcare and general support. The family values a positive, team-focused approach and someone who is genuinely present with the children.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare Support (in collaboration with Mom):

  • Help with morning and bedtime routines

  • Engage children in age-appropriate, screen-free activities

  • Supervise outdoor play and interactive games

  • Provide sole care while Mom is busy

  • Contribute to a nurturing, upbeat environment

  • Coordinate with the second nanny when needed to support smooth transitions between group and individual care

  • Assist with meal prep and basic kitchen help for the kids

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced Nanny with a flexible, go-with-the-flow personality

  • Enjoys working in a team with other caregivers and family members present

  • Warm, energetic, and calm under pressure

  • Organized and proactive in a busy environment

  • Understands boundaries and professional conduct in an extended-family household

  • Comfortable being highly present and hands-on with minimal phone use during care

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license preferred

  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain

  • Background check required upon offer

  • Local candidates preferred, but willing to provide housing for out of state candidates for the right fit (live-out)
