ROTA Nanny needed in Washington DC - 2 Weeks On, 2 Weeks Off - Will Fly In/Out

Salary: $120-$140k/year DOE

***Must have experience with a full-time live-in or ROTA position with 3+ children all-time and children who have either ADHD and/or anxiety***

Nanny Description: Warm, Engaged, and Professional

We’re looking for a professional nanny who brings calm energy and genuine warmth into the home — someone playful, engaged, and attuned to the needs of a busy household with five children (Ages 10month-10 years - oldest 3 in school full-time, always another nanny). This is a dynamic home, and we value a nanny who can move with the flow: steady in the chaos, joyful in the quiet, and always a grounding presence.

The Right Fit Will Be:

  • Calm + Energetic: Someone who can keep up with five kids, lead a dance party, and dive into creative play — but never feels chaotic or overwhelming. Think calm confidence, not high-octane energy.

  • Playful + Professional: You’re warm, affectionate, and loving with the children — without oversharing your personal life. You know when to step in and when to step back.

  • Judgment-Driven: You don’t give the kids ice cream at 4:30pm when dinner’s at 5. You use common sense and have an intuitive understanding of what’s appropriate in a formal yet casual household.

  • Naturally Grounded: You don’t get flustered in high-stress situations. Whether it's a sibling squabble or a scraped knee, you stay cool and collected.

  • Experience with Special Needs: Familiarity with anxiety, ADHD, and children who need extra emotional attention is a requirement. You’re patient, observant, and skilled in redirecting and supporting without escalating.

  • Aligned with Gentle Parenting: You understand (or are eager to understand) non-punitive, respectful, and natural consequence-based parenting. You don’t rely on time-outs or punishment. You model, redirect, and engage at the child’s level — especially when emotions are high.

Important Qualities:

  • Bubbly and friendly, but never overwhelming

  • Strong stamina and engagement throughout the day

  • Intuitive with boundaries: you sense when to give space or step in

  • Brings a sense of fun without being “too much”

  • Comfortable in a home where another nanny is also present — collaborative, not competitive

Additional Notes:

  • This is a health-conscious household: the family eats a wide, whole-food diet with no processed foods.

  • Formal in structure, casual in dress. The home has a polished, professional rhythm.

This is a role for someone who brings joy, connection, and structure — and truly understands the art of being present. If you're a steady, loving guide with great judgment and a playful spirit, we’d love to meet you.
