A kind and busy family in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey is seeking a reliable and proactive Nanny/Family Assistant to help care for their three school-aged children and assist with day-to-day household tasks. This is a long-term position with a supportive, respectful household that values consistency, trust, and teamwork.

Children: 3 (Ages 7, 9, and 11)
Adults in home: 2
Pets: 1 friendly dog
Home: 4,000 sq. ft.
Current Staff: A housekeeper for deep cleaning

The Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for a warm, organized, and dependable professional who enjoys working with school-aged children and is happy to lend a hand wherever needed. Someone who is comfortable managing morning and afternoon routines, assisting with light housekeeping, and stepping in when one parent is traveling will thrive in this role.

Position Responsibilities

Childcare

Assist with morning and after-school routines
Help children get ready for and transition in/out of school
Provide supervision and support during downtime, including light play or homework help

Household Support

Light housekeeping (tidying kitchen, organizing common areas)
Family laundry; occasional ironing for children’s clothing
Assist with dinner prep and light/plain cooking
Occasional errands (e.g., grocery pickup)

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Some flexibility appreciated, especially when one parent is traveling
Long-term commitment preferred (2–4 years)

Position Requirements

Must speak English or Spanish
Prior experience working with school-aged children
Highly organized, responsible, and conscientious
Minimum of 2 professional references
Willingness to complete a background check upon offer

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $30 per hour
Status: Live-out
Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation
Holidays: Paid federal holidays off when they fall on scheduled workdays
