Job Title: Live-In Cook/Housekeeper

Overview: A dynamic and detail-oriented Live-In Cook/Housekeeper is sought for a private residence in Rowayton, CT. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, and eager to take on a wide range of responsibilities. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with a team, including a Property Manager/Driver, and the capacity to communicate effectively. Experience in cooking, particularly Mediterranean cuisine, and a solid understanding of household cleaning methods are essential. A love for working in a family environment, including interactions with children, is also important.

Responsibilities:

• Cooking: Prepare Mediterranean-style meals, including vegetarian dishes, fish, and chicken.
• Daily Home Maintenance: Ensure the home is kept in pristine condition with basic cleaning duties.
• Laundry & Ironing: Manage laundry and perform light ironing as needed.
• Grocery Shopping & Errands: Handle grocery shopping and other household errands efficiently.
• Light Floral Arranging: Arrange flowers to enhance the home's ambiance.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a highly organized, professional household.
• A hands-on approach with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high energy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Comfort in working with high-energy owners and adult family members, with occasional weekend visits.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Fluent in English.

Schedule:

• Full-time position with flexibility required.
• Includes weekend work when needed.
• 2 days off per week.
