Private Education Manager

Wellington, FL

Busy Family is looking for an Experienced, Organized Live-In Private Education Manager for their teenage girls in Wellington, FL!

Position Overview: This busy family is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Private Education Manager to oversee the academic lives of two teenage girls, ensuring they are well-prepared for college. Both girls are enrolled in online programs and this role involves managing their education plans, scheduling, and extracurricular activities to alleviate these responsibilities from the mother’s busy schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a comprehensive education plan tailored to the unique needs of both daughters, one of whom is highly gifted and the other twice-exceptional (2e).
  • Coordinate and oversee online schooling, including coursework and assessments.
  • Manage gifted enrichment activities, ensuring both girls are adequately challenged and their intellectual energies are properly utilized.
  • Assist mom with research and enroll the girls in gifted programs such as CTY and other summer enrichment opportunities.
  • Guide daily routines, ensure the girls maintain good habits, and stay on track with their academic goals.
  • Drive the girls to and from extracurricular activities.
  • Work on supplementing schoolwork and learning with various themes (i.e. one month could be a cooking month where they take local cooking classes, one month learning about botanical gardens, etc.)
  • Maintain a structured and harmonious home environment.
  • Collaborate with the mother to provide support as needed, including occasional weekends with advance notice.
  • Provide flexibility in scheduling to accommodate family needs.
  • Family will also be flexible and believe in people's need to have time off for "rest and recovery" so they are not overworked.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing educational plans for gifted and twice-exceptional students, if possible, or show experience in managing schedules and keeping things on target.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate complex schedules.
  • Familiarity with online schooling platforms and gifted education programs is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm, composed, and able to maintain a harmonious home environment.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work weekends with advance notice, and family will provide time off during the week as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

What Works Best for The Family: They are a calm and structured family, with a focus on maintaining harmony at home. The mother has a classical background and works intensively on infrastructure projects, which takes a lot of her time. Her partner works most of the time in Jacksonville so he is not home as often. The girls' schooling has turned out to be very STEM-focused. They are good-natured and have pretty light-hearted personalities. The ideal candidate will be someone who can provide structure, keep the girls on target with their educational goals, and fit seamlessly into their peaceful home environment.

To Apply: Please submit your resume, a short bio, a cover letter outlining your relevant experience, and references to apply for this unique opportunity to join a kind-hearted and loving family and help shape a bright future for their daughters!
