Private Lenox Hill, NY family is looking to hire a Responsible and Trustworthy Family Assistant to help with the daily functioning of their family and home. They are looking for someone who can build a good rapport with their 12-year-old daughter and assist with taking her to and from school and other activities, including potential overnight travel to horse shows. Additionally, someone who can help with various errands and general personal assistant tasks. Someone flexible who can also travel with their daughter for occasional equestrian events. and spend Mon-Friday in East Hampton, Long Island for approx. 4-6 weeks in the summer. 
The Family Assistant will be educated, organized, and responsible for maintaining order in the home.
Consistency, Flexibility, and reliability are paramount.
The right candidate will be an animal lover, comfortable with pets as they have a dog and a cat.

A typical day would involve taking their daughter to school at around 7:30 a.m,  taking their dog for a walk in the morning, and running errands or helping with personal assistant tasks such as ordering groceries and supplies for the household. In the afternoon, pick up from school at 3:15 p.m. and bring her home or to appointments or activities.

About the Family

Adults: 2, Dad works out of the home 2 days/week and mom is usually home. They are flexible with regard to how much time this person spends at the apartment during the day, depending on their needs and their daughters activity schedule.
Tween (G) 12 years old, 6th grade 
Dog Cavapoo
Cat: Siamese Cat
Current Staff: The family has a Long term Weekend Nanny and a Day Nanny. Both Nannies have been with the family for 11+ years and the Day Nanny will be leaving. They also have a daily Housekeeper.

Position Responsibilities

• Tween: (G) 12 Must be relatable, actively engaging, interacting, driving to/from school activities, equestrian events 
• Dog walking, daily in the morning 
• Family Assistance: The job will vary day-to-day and may include tasks such as:
  • Ordering food and household supplies.
  • Organizing and helping their daughter keep her room and personal items in order.
• Errands: Yes, as needed, Grocery Shopping, post office, cleaners, etc.
• Driving: YES, safely driving (family car provided) to/from school and after school activities as needed. Must drive when in East Hampton.

Position Requirements

• Work Hours: 7:30 am- 6:00 pm Monday-Friday, There will be down time in between
• Languages: English, Mandarin Speaking is a HUGE PLUS!
