Job Description: Part-Time House Manager

Location: Boca Raton, FL (Boca Bridges)
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 3 days per week

A high-profile lawyer in Boca Bridges is seeking a proactive and experienced House Manager to oversee household operations and maintain a well-run home environment. The principal, who primarily resides alone, has two college-aged daughters who visit occasionally and also maintains a second residence in Chicago but plans to spend more time in Boca. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, enjoys the dynamic nature of household management, and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff Oversight:
    • Manage and oversee housekeepers, handymen, and other household staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Household Maintenance:
    • Maintain the home, including preparing for seasonal needs (e.g., hurricane readiness).
    • Ensure all household systems (e.g., HVAC) are functioning and address issues promptly.
  • Schedule Management:
    • Arrange appointments, including medical visits and transportation.
    • Coordinate regular laundry and dry-cleaning services.
  • Pet Care:
    • Provide care for a medium-sized, hypoallergenic Sheepadoodle, including walks, vet visits, grooming, and drop-off/pick-up at doggy daycare.
  • Errands and Organization:
    • Handle grocery shopping, manage inventory, and keep the home stocked with essentials.
    • Organize incoming mail and oversee bill payment schedules.
    • Research, hire, and oversee a personal chef.
  • Household Upkeep:
    • Ensure the home remains tidy and trash/recycling duties are managed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in household management, ideally in a high-profile or luxury home environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with the principal, visitors, and staff.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with managing household systems and seasonal preparation.
  • Comfort and experience with pet care.
